Gas and Plumbing Technology

It is a qualified person who plans, calculates costs, controls the work flow, follows and shares technological developments in accordance with the standards and the project in the selection, installation and operation of natural gas, heating and sanitary installation systems and gas appliances, and the provision of breakdown and preventive maintenance services.

Gas and Installation Technology Technician education is 2 years after high school.

Gas and Installation Technology;

Failure and preventive maintenance works in the selection, installation and operation of gas appliances and gas distribution systems,

Making heat calculations for the heating systems to be installed, determining the required heater capacity and planning the installation technical works,

Detection and repair of mechanical and electrical faults in the installation and periodic maintenance of system parts,

It covers its subjects and aims to meet the need for intermediate staff trained in these fields.

Learning Outcomes of the Program

1. To determine the problems that may occur in natural gas systems and to define the data necessary for the solution of these problems, to collect and use effectively; to show that they can use the theoretical knowledge, manual and/or intellectual skills required in practical applications.
2. To be able to clearly explain the designs and applications of natural gas and plumbing systems to their colleagues, superiors and the people and groups they serve, and to be able to work as a team.
3. To show that they can learn independently and apply what they have learned in the field of natural gas and plumbing.
4. To show that they have gained the ability to identify problems related to unforeseen situations and seek solutions in natural gas and installation studies.
5. To impartially evaluate and supervise the performances of employees under his/her responsibility.
6. To have sufficient foreign language knowledge in the field.
7. To have knowledge and awareness of occupational safety, worker health and environmental protection in matters related to the field.
8. To be able to use the software and hardware required by the profession together with basic computer usage knowledge.
9. To have knowledge and awareness of social responsibility, moral values ​​and social security rights in matters related to the field.
