Program Introduction

It is aimed to train personnel who can search and rescue, protect and intervene in possible disasters (earthquake, flood, fire, etc.), and train people on these issues.

Duration of Education and Major Courses

Within the associate degree program, the education period is 2 years and consists of 4 semesters. Courses are taught on a semester basis and at least 15 weeks of education are given each semester. Internship is optional.

Courses such as General Chemistry, Mathematics, Combustion Knowledge, Physics, Firefighting Vehicle and Material Knowledge, First Aid, Rescue Techniques and Sports Training, Fire Response Techniques, Fluid Mechanics, Fire Safety Precautions, Computer Aided Drawing, Civil Defense and Protection Knowledge, Hazardous Substances and Transportation, Emergency Management are given.

Titles and Work Areas Earned by Graduates

They can work as an RFF officer in the Fire Brigades of Municipalities, Airports and as Fire Safety Specialists in various tourism enterprises and industrial facilities.

Program Interests and Aims

It is to train people who are capable of undertaking the organization, training and supervision of public and private institutions and organizations, and all kinds of structures, buildings, facilities and enterprises, during the design, construction, operation, maintenance and use stages of any kind of fire, which ensures that any fire is extinguished by minimizing the loss of life and property, and the measures to be taken before and after the fire.

Content of the Education Provided in the Program

It contains information about taking precautions against disaster events, intervening during the event, and providing sufficient information on science, technique, service and informatics to apply to the manpower that can facilitate the return to normal life within the emergency action plans after the event, and to ensure that these personnel have the characteristics of adapting to the rapidly developing technology, problem solving, decision making, taking responsibility and entrepreneurship.
